2011 MN Horse Expo: April 29, 30 and May 1

It's that time again! The great Minnesota equine get-together will be at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds as always, and the lineup of clinicians, presenters, and exhibitors this year is especially exciting. I learn something new and enlightening every year at this event, and its size and quality attracts organized groups of visitors from throughout Minnesota and even nation-wide.

I will be a presenter again this year on the topic of equestrian land use. With changes to Minnesota law in 2010 relating to property taxes, zoning, and land use, it has never been more important to understand the "law of your land." I will be explaining the impact of new laws passed last year, bills introduced in the current session affecting horse property, and strategies for making the most of your equestrian use of land. I will also be available to answer questions about recent and proposed new changes to Green Acres and agricultural and rural land conservation programs. My one-hour presentations will be daily in the DNR Building, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

For more information about the presenters at this year's Expo, visit their web site at http://www.mnhorseexpo.org.

The Expo is a great opportunity to see old friends and make new ones.... Don't miss it!
